This is a blog for my (all consuming) literary life, but I will make an exception for attending the performance of this play, as I reread TTotS in anticipation. My review of the reading experience.
So frankly I was a little worried.
But I didn’t need to be. The enthusiastic Kiwi troupe did the whole play at breakneck speed (with a few improvements of their own!) Their presentation turned the whole thing from being (IIRC) Shakespeare’s most chauvinist work to a knockabout farce where the ladies give as good as they get.

Speaking of the bar – there was a “slight” difference in glass size this year…
But a good time was had by all. I just wish I could stand for 3 hours, as tickets for The Groundlings were so cheap, but I just have to be realistic.
I’m sure we will be back next year!
